Today in the evening about 9:30 p.m. I saw Canon at Saizeriya near my house in Koriyama first since the earthquake occurred Mar. 11.
After it was hit by the earthquake about 8:30 p.m. that day he hurried to my family in order to know they were all right or not because I was not able to get in touch with them by the phone because of the earthquake so I asked him to do so through the internet (MSN Messenger and Skype.)

Building nearly falling down

About 5:30 p.m. I saw a destroyed building "Kishimoto Bldg." (きしもとビル) (Google Map) by the earthquake in the center area of Koriyama city while I was driving a car.
It is said that this building was destroyed the worst in the Koriyama; its first floor collapsed entirely.
It seemed as if Hanshi-Awaji earthquake (阪神淡路大震災) had occurred only around here, I thought when I saw it first.

My mother said that the owner of this building had been her classmate in the junior-high school.

Earthquake April 12th

Today about 8:08 a.m. an earthquake of magnitude 6.3 occurred in the east offing of Chiba prefecture; Tokyo was hit by an level 3 or 4, the northeast area of Chiba pref. by an level 5- earthquake (see here*.)
More information will be added later.
I go to bed again.
And about 2:07 p.m. an earthquake of magnitude 6.3 occurred in Hama-dori area, Fukushima prefecture (福島県浜通り); Tokyo was hit by an level 3, Koriyama by an level 5-, Iwaki by an level 6- earthquake (see here*.)

Yesterday in the morning I was awoke by the earthquake. Tired.
Apr. 11 for 3 hours between 4 and 7 p.m. 27 earthquakes most of which were more than level 3 including 1 earthquake of level 6 and 2 of level 5- occurred in Fukushima pref. (see here*)
I have neither experienced nor learned such bigger and successive aftershocks after the unprecedented earthquake.
But we will never say die!
By the way, the magnitude 6.3 earthquake stroke Christchurch, New Zealand Feb. 22nd 2011, which could be an aftershock of the magnitude 7.0 earthquake which occurred there Sep. 4th 2010 (see here**.)
Attention: the Japanese magnitude (Mj) could not be the same as the scale of the international magnitude.
I got a lot of detailed information about earthquakes and aftershocks in the whole Fukushima pref. or Koriyama city from Mr. S through E-mails as well as my family.

Earthquake April 11th

Today a month has just passed since the unprecedented earthquake and Tsunami waves stroke Tohoku (東北地方) and north Kanto areas (北関東地方) Mar. 11th.
But, unfortunately, the catfish of earthquake has never left these areas yet as if it would love them.
Today about 5:16 p.m. an earthquake of magnitude 7.1 hit Tohoku and north Kanto areas; Tokyo was hit by an level 3 or 4, Iwaki by level 6-, Koriyama by 5- earthquake (see here*.)
And smaller earthquakes occurred sometimes successively after that.
Japan Meteorological Agency (気象庁) announced that also this earthquake might be an aftershock of the Mar. 11th earthquake (see here*.)
Just soon after the earthquake, I hurried to a Convenience Store near my house in order to contact my family in Koriyama with a public telephone because cellular phones were disconnected then for the earthquake.
Of course my family was all right.
One of my friends there, Mr.S sent me an E-mail about his safety at the same time.
We shall never yield to the earthquake!
We shall make a final stand after all!
Cheer up, Tohoku and Fukushima!

Ramen aid in Soma city

According to "Ramen Contributors" (ラーメン義援隊) blog*, Apr. 8th and 9th a team from them led by Koitani Takeshi (鯉谷剛至), a owner of ramen shop in Nakano ward (中野区), Jiraigen* (地雷源), visited Soma city, Fukushima prefecture (福島県相馬市) where is about 50 km north from Fukushima 1st Nuclear Plant (福島第一原発) in order to distribute 600 bowls of emergency ramen free to the survivors there each day (1200 bowls in total.)
And Koitani's blog* says that Apr. 16th and 17th they are planning to distribute emergency ramen in Iwaki city, Fukushima pref. (福島県いわき市) whose center is about 40 km south from 1st Plant.
According to his blog, he was born in Iwaki, where also my father was born and my grandfather and relatives live now.
As one of those who were born in Fukushima, I really appreciate and am proud of their bravery and distribution.
And I will visit his shop later in order to eat his ramen for showing my thanks!
May ramen save Fukushima!

Earthquake April 7th

Today in the evening about 11:32 p.m. a magnitude7.4 7.1 earthquake whose center was located in the offing of Miyagi prefecture struck and Tokyo was hit by an level 3, Koriyama by level 5-, Iwate by level 6-, Miyagi by level 6+ earthquake (see here*.)
My family and brother in Koriyama are all right.
Of cource I am ok.
Soon after the earthquake one of my friends (Mr.S) there sent me an E-mail that he and his family were all right, too.
According to Japan Meteorological Agency (気象庁), it is possible that this earthquake was an aftershock of the March 11th earthquake whose magnitude was 9.0.
And, by the way, this aftershock is larger than 7.3 magnitude of Great Hanshin earthquake**.
Attention: Apr. 8th JMA corrected the magnitude from 7.4 to 7.1 (see here*.)
Therefore also this article was corrected at the same time.

It was revealed that Ramenman** (ラーメンマン), a character of Japanese manga series Kinnikuman (キン肉マン), will surpport "Ramen Contributors" (ラーメン義援隊) who have distributed emergency ramen free to the survivors of the earthquake and Tsunami waves in Miyagi (see here*.)
They are permitted to use this character for their activity by the author of Kinnikuman Yudetamago (ゆでたまご) because the author sympathized with it.

I am not annoyed at all by the nuclear plant disorder itself (it is no use crying over spilt milk! The earthquake and Tsunami waves are very unforecastable) but annoyed very much with people who are confused by the news of its disorder.
We should not go hither and thither.
(Moreover, I am extremely angry with pseudo-specialists of radioactivity [放射能の似非専門家ども!] on the internet! I could have strangled them all!)
Their behavior seems as if they would make out Fukushima to be Chernobyl. Very displeasing!
I suppose that they would make the ugly rumor.
I surely trust what the true specialists say who belong to natural sciences.
At least I have made up my mind not to trust what activists insist who belong to cultural sciences.
I am not Nazi but love blood and soil (Blut und Boden) of my birth place.
Therefore I often behave consciously like nationalist provocatively against unsympathetic leftists of anti-nationalism.
We should not go hither and thither.

Today in the morning just before 6 a.m. I was suddenly awakened by an level 3 earthquake* in Tokyo (around my room) whose center was located in the offing of Ibaraki prefecture (茨城県沖); last night I went to bed about 4 a.m. therefore I fell asleep again.

The Japanese already got used to the earthquake because in Japan it occurs many times in a year.
But I feel tired of the earthquake again and again, day after day.
I want a relaxing sleep without earthquake!

Ramen cooks aid Miyagi

According to Yomiuri Shinbun* (読売新聞), Mar. 17. "Ramen Contributors*" (ラーメン義援隊) had gone to Kesen-numa city, Miyagi prefecture (宮城県気仙沼市) in order to distribute 1000 bowls of emergency ramen free to the survivors of the earthquake and Tsunami waves.
Also Kesen-numa was hit by the earthquake and Tsunami waves and there 473 persons have been found dead and 627 persons are still missing (as of Mar. 20.)
4 ramen cooks of "Ramen Contributors" was led by Ishii Takayuki (石井貴啓) (age 33), master of a ramen shop, Men-dokoro Maruwa* (麺処まるわ) (Chiba city, Chiba pref.), who had worked for ramen shop in Kesen-numa until 4 years ago.
