It was deadly cold all the day today.
In spite of the fact that I promised Kaz to start muscular exercises at Kunitachi city since 4 p.m. and it takes 1.5 hours to go there from my room, it was already 2:30 p.m. when I woke up.
I send him an E-mail with the cellular phone, "sorry, I woke up just now. Can we delay starting exercises for 1 hour?"
We reached the gym about 6 p.m.
It just was not my day today.
I omitted to take with myself from the lab of my university sports shoes which we must wear when we do exercises at the gym of Kunitachi city. (So I hurried back to my lab by bicycle in order to take them from the gym through the deadly cold air. ToT)
Because of my omitting I had less time to do enough exercises. And Kaz did less exercises because he was going to go skiing with his old friends and professors in Nagano prefecture so he did not want a muscular pain.
After exercises we moved to Higashi-koganei (東小金井) in order to eat ramen at Ramen Dai (らーめん大), one of ramen shops inspired by Ramen Jiro (らーめん二郎).
At first we was not able to find out this shop so we wandered around Higashi-koganei station with looking for it. My hands holding the map were numb with cold.
This is the first time for us to visit Ramen Dai including its all branches.
We had to wait a little for seats to come open but was able to get them soon.
A young man looking as old as I managed this shop alone at this time.
I did not like him to greet and speak lower; a staff of ramen shop should greed loudly and lively.
I ordered large-sized ramen (ラーメン大盛) (700 yen) as well as Kaz.
He said to me that it tasted good but I do not think so. It did not tasted bad, however compared with other Jiro-inspired ramen shops I think that Ramen Kagemusha (らーめん影武者) is better than Dai and I prefer Kagemusha to Dai. But it is sure that its boiled pork did not taste good.
A poster put in this shop said "please eat our ramen 3 times, and you will appreciate its deliciousness."
But I am not sure that I visit this shop the other 2 times in order to eat and appreciate it.
Large-sized ramen
After having teas at Mos Burger (モスバーガー) in front of Higashi-koganei station, we left each other there about 11:00 p.m.
I was almost dead because of deadly cold in the night while I was waiting for a train at that station.
In spite of the fact that I was born in a colder region (Fukushima prefecture) than Tokyo, my 7 years living in Tokyo undoubtedly made me weak in cold.
And I noticed that I had eaten too much ramen (Jan. 26, 27, 30, Feb. 2 and today, 5 times in the last 10 days!)
I will not eat ramen including instant noodles in the next 7 days at least!
