Through the phone

In order to say congratulations I gave a phone call to my friend who would be married and would like to invite me to her wedding party.
I talked with her for the first time in two years.
We saw each other with other friends on April two years ago.

I said to her, Mi-chan, that I was surprised at the news that she would be married and surprised more at the fact that my friends as well as I got so old and grown that they were prepared for or started wedding except me.
She answered, "you are younger than I, aren't you? I'm already over 30 years old."
And she told me that her wedding party would be held on May. 23 (Sun.)

Her voice through the phone sounded happy (or even euphoric indeed?)
And I fully realized that I would never be happy like her.
