As of course you know, Tokyo trains are always, especially in the morning and evening hours to go to and from work or school, crowded by a lot of passengers.
But even so I can usually have a seat in the crowded cars when I take the Chiyoda line for Kashiwa or Abiko from Shin-ochanomizu sta. to go back home about 7:00-8:00 p.m.
However I can hardly have it at Kita-senju sta. or around there when I take it for Yoyogi-uehara or Karakida to go to university about 10:00-11:00 a.m. because passengers from Chiba pref. are riding the Joban local line through to the Chiyoda line for a long time and do not get off soon.
My nearest station, Kanamachi sta. is next to Matsudo sta. (Chiba pref.) and the last station on the Joban local line in Tokyo.
That is, passengers who have already ridden the Joban local line at my nearest station come surely from Chiba pref.
I took the Chuo line for Tokyo at Kunitachi sta. to go back home about 7:00 p.m. and had to get off at Ochanomizu sta. to transfer to the Chiyoda line.
But I fell asleep in the car, I was not able to get it off there and went through to Kanda sta., next to Ochanomizu.
From Kanda I took a train in the opposite direction in order to go back to Ochanomizu soon.
I must have been tired...
